Patch 10.11

15 September 2016

Lords and Ladies!

Three amazing girls await you in your castles: a new Hero and two new skins, a new Arcane Wyrm mechanic, and one new talent for each subset of the Legendary Heritage set. Fixed an exploit that would allow malicious players to end the game session without battle results calculation. Off we go!

New Hero!

The mischievous teenage girl Tearaway has come running (flying? dancing?) into Praia, waving her umbrella around gleefully! My goodness, enough! Take that ball away from her! Somebody!

You can read more about this new hero here.

Tearaway can be hired in three different ways, just like the other heroes:

  1. Complete a seven-day quest chain and hire Tearaway for 750,000 silver. The first quest of the chain is already available, and the last one will appear on September 22. Once you complete the last, a quest will appear allowing you to hire Tearaway for silver.
  2. The normal way to recruit Tearaway (paying silver without having to complete any quests) will be available for all players with a castle level of 25 and up from September 29th onward.
  3. Tearaway can also be hired immediately for 299 gold.

With the release of this new hero, the price of Luna has been reduced to 500,000 silver and 199 gold.

New skins!

Two charming beauties have come to Praia! But be careful with these two representatives of the “weaker sex” – they’re full of sharp tongues, sharper daggers, and charged particles!

Bold One

Original hero: Assassin/Eraser
Features: sex change, new voice
Cost: 99 gold

Lumina

Original hero: Luna
Cost: 49 gold

New Talents

The Legendary Heritage set has received 5 new talents, one for each subset. Strider and Talisman have received an extra chance to escape to invisibility or to attack from it, pies can now be guaranteed in the late game (from your home base), and the Toxic Effect set is now useful for heroes built to attack.

Masked Wanderer

  • Brave Wanderer set

  • Tier: IV;

  • Prime cost to learn: 825;

  • Increases Agility by 12.5;

  • 1 second after using the Brave Wanderer talent, the hero becomes invisible for 3 seconds.

Equality Charm

  • Enchanting Abundance set

  • Tier: VI

  • Prime cost to learn: 1600

  • Cooldown: 120 seconds

  • Increases Strength or Intellect (whichever is greater) by 23

  • The hero gets one pie of each type when visiting the resurrection platform.

Talisman of Stealth

  • the hero becomes invisible for 3 seconds after using the Inherited Talisman talent

Rapid Toxin

  • Tier: V;
  • Increases Agility by 10
  • Increases Health by 230
  • Attacks of the hero owning the set on a target of the talent Toxic Effect deal an additional 76 magic damage.

Hymn of Swiftness

  • Inspiring Hymn set
  • Prime cost to learn: 825
  • Tier: IV
  • Increases Health by 115
  • Increases Stamina or Will (whichever is greater) by 8.5
  • Activating the Inspiring Hymn talent also increases the Speed of all nearby allies by 20% for 8 seconds.

Heroes!

Arcane Wyrm

Arcane Wyrm, unlike other killers, did not have a clearly defined role. His colleagues all have a niche of their own: Assassin was one of the best gankers, Faceless had damn good mobility, and Demonologist was a pusher. But Arcane Wyrm had nothing to brag about, besides his opaque reliance on Energy and his high-damage abilities.

So Arcane Wyrm has been significantly reworked in order to bring out a previously underemphasized ability: burning the opponent’s Energy.

Lord of Ether

  • Now, instead of receiving 50 Energy for each enemy hero killed, Arcane Wyrm must kill 20 soldiers or 1 hero to receive additional Energy. This effect can stack up to 10 times. Each effect gives 19-143 Energy (based on Intellect) until the end of battle.

Ethereal Form

  • First contact with a creature now burns 5% of that creature’s max Energy and restores 2% of the hero’s own max Energy.
  • If the hero is located on Native Terrain when this action is completed, he recovers 7.5% of his max Energy.
  • The damage dealt upon first contact with living creatures has been changed from physical to magic damage and now depends on Intellect instead of depending on max Energy.

Triumph of Spirit

  • The Energy Resonance upgrade now provides a fixed damage increase of 30%
  • After learning Energy Resonance, Arcane Wyrm burns 60% + 2% of the target’s max Energy for each application of the Lord of Ether effect (up to 80% maximum).

Luna

Luna was intended to have low mobility. The hero needed some time to construct her gates, and this, along with the difficulty of getting charged particles, justified the high damage she could deal. Charged Particle is fine for Luna in the early game, but the long gate creation time makes her too clumsy in the middle and late game.

So we’ve reduced Luna’s damage and significantly increased her mobility.

Charged Particle

  • additional damage after passing through the gate reduced by 20%
  • reduced particle flight speed increase after passing through the gate from 50% to 30%

Astral Gates

(values in parentheses apply when the Surplus Energy effect is active)

  • Duration reduced from 120 (160) to 60 (80) seconds
  • Cooldown time reduced accordingly from 40 to 20 seconds
  • Base Energy cost reduced accordingly from 165 to 85.

Serenity

  • Jumping to gates no longer consumes Energy
  • General active talents can no longer be used while in Serenity.

Talents

For the first time in a while, we’ve significantly adjusted a large number of talents. These include the legendary sets Battle Ecstasy and Fiery Guard and the exclusive Continuum. All changed talents will be unbound from Heroes and moved to the Library. Battle Ecstasy Package will be unbound completely. You can read more on these talents’ prerequisites and adjustments below:

Battle Ecstasy

  • effective radius reduced by 33%

Drunk with Blood

  • damage frequency reduced by 40%. Total damage and damage per second are thus reduced by 40%

Suppressive Touch

  • now only reduces the target’s Stamina or Will (whichever is greater)

Swiftness Charm

  • now also increases Health by 160.

Fiery Guard

  • effective radius increased by 150%

  • the firefly no longer starts at the point – now it flies to it

  • this no longer works on summoned creatures or creatures under the controls of Heroes

  • fixed a bug where the talent with the Prophetic Flame upgrade did not work on invisible targets after the Hero’s death

Zealous Flame

  • now also removes distance limitations on the Fiery Guard talent

Continuum

  • modified the activation mechanism: now activated automatically upon the Hero’s death.

  • lowered the resurrection time reduction from 50% to 20%

Grasping Mind

  • renamed to Tenacious Grip

  • now reduces resurrection time by 10% instead of reducing the cooldown for Continuum

  • now increases Strength or Intellect (whichever is greater) by 13 instead of increasing Intellect by 14.

  • icon changed

Charming

  • lowered the resurrection time reduction from 15% to 10%

  • now increases Strength or Intellect (whichever is greater) by 5 instead of increasing Intellect by 5.6

  • increased Agility from 5.6 to 6.2

  • icon changed

Petrification

  • range reduced from 35%

  • damage reduction applied to the talent target increased from 30% to 50%

Other

  • Fixed a bug which kept the Fire Fox/Flame Tail’s Cunning Fox talent from stunning enemies if the hero was dead at the time the stun was to take effect.
  • Fixed an exploit that would allow malicious players to see under the fog of war and to end the game session without battle results calculation.
  • Fixed a bug which made talents that boosted stats interact incorrectly with some Hero abilities (mostly abilities that did not require Energy).
  • Fixed a bug that made Blade Master/Sesha’s Thousand Blades ability, when used on a creature that.
  • Fixed a bug when Inner Hunger ability did not increase Shadow Watchers visibility range.
  • Fixed a bug when Shadow Watcher stopped displaying invisible enemies after the death of its owner.
  • Fixed a bug causing Enchanting Abundance to not produce pasties if the Hero has bought items in the shop while being dead.
  • Fixed a bug with Hero dropping the Haste Glyph after someone dispelled his or her Speed Potion effect.
