Dear friends!

The May holidays, which have brought the Spring and wonderful mood to Praia have past, so it`s a high time to discuss the hottest topics, to look into the past on what has already been done, as well as set new goals for the future.

New matchmaking

It's been almost one and half a months since our last major update, which has brought changes of the matchmaking system with it. We have closely watched the battle statistics after adding the new factor - the "maximal player rating" and would like to announce that the overall quality of games has improved significantly.

As you can conclude from the table, now the proportion of successful fights has almost reached the much desired 50%. Within each group players from the same “weight category” are paired what makes her cooperation more efficient in the result and abolishes a statistical susceptibility to a defeat. Of course, we will continue to follow the statistics and add improvements to the system if necessary. Although we are satisfied with the current pairing, we can't ignore the fact that the new algorithm has extended the combat search time. Therefore, among other things in the patch 10.9 we will also focus on implementing some corrections, which will be aimed at the battle search time reduction.

Heroes: Recruitment, equipment, balancing

Among other notable changes of this Spring we would like to remind you of the reduction of the Gold rate!

One more thing that shouldn't go unnoticed is the subsequent reduction of prices on Heroes in Gold and Silver. These changes have made it easier for our Lords and Ladies to equip their armies, so this change can also be considered as positive one!

Though we are already talking about Heroes, it’s hard not to mention the rebalancing, it simply belongs to it. We are always reading your comments very carefully through and therefore we have noticed, that in most cases the rebalancing is not only one the most popular topic, but also the one where our decisions are being criticized the most. That is why we’ve got an idea, you will find more about it later in the text. Now we would only like to mention that the Patch 10.9, which is currently being prepared, will introduce such a long-awaited and so active discussed Nerf of the Hero S. Putnik.

New patch: first details

As you have already understood, the work on the Patch 10.9 is going on full swing. It is to early to reveal all it's features, but we can say very soon that it will be installed on our game servers - till the end of the Spring. With its release Prime World will get rid of many bugs, such as bugs of the preparation window and problems of the clans. We will inform you about the other changes a little bit later, but as it was already said, you don't have to wait long anymore.

More about the rebalancing!

Let us talk about the "hottest" topic of this Spring.

Certain changes of the balance are very often being criticized, starting with the choice of the Heroes, to the exact changes that were introduced.

Very often we receive the following question: "When are you going to stop balancing the Heroes?"

The thing is that it’s impossible to set perfect balance, you can’t adjust it once and forever because new entities are repeatedly added to the game: new Heroes and talents (we all would like to see more Heroes and talents in the game, that could extend the games meta with new nuances, don’t we?). Whenever something is added to the game, the entire closed ecosystem changes more or less. Therefore, the balance of the game will always be rectified and it`s important to understand that. Please allow us to make such a "dokth" comparison:

Every bit of new gameplay content whether it’s a hero or a talent is a detail of an entire mechanism that incorporates a powerful system of Prime World machine. As if it was a small town, where every detail is adapted to another, where a small error can influence the rhythm of a complex magical mechanism.

Balance in this metaphor - is in fact a well-attuned cooperation of all details with each other, in a rhythm without disturbances and tensions.

Of course we are trying to adapt new entities as more as possible before their release, according to our "schemes", formulas and statistics of all kinds. These will be tested on our test server. But most of the ingredients can only be matched to each other during a real trial on our battle servers.

This "dokth" quote was chosen not without a reason.

An experiment!

We announce an experiment! Let us unite our forces and balance a Hero together!

For this experiment, we have chosen the Hero Inventor, a typical representative of Dokths, a breed of researchers and experimenters, whose balance must be corrected as well according to the opinion of many players. Everything is easy.

We will balance it according to your ideas. Considered will be only two parameters and you decide both of them. You need to suggest the numbers of those characteristics and vote for the best variants.

In effect, we will get some kind of a laboratory-incubator of concrete ideas regarding the subject: "We adjust the balance of the Hero Inventor". We open a special topic on our forum. Leave your suggestions, but stay relevant - it's prohibited to criticize or discuss the proposals of other posters. Form your thoughts succinctly - "to increase xx on this amount, to reduce yy on that amount" etc.

We will collect your suggestions until and including May 27th and subsequently conduct a vote to select the most popular variants, as a result your wishes on the Rebalance of the developer will be brought to live.

We believe that it can be an interesting experiment, therefore, we expect your activity !
