Patch 10.1

24 December 2014

New hero – Freeze

  • In the update you will find a new hero known as Freeze. You can recruit him from a level 39 castle for 999,000 silver or 499 gold.

New Year’s in the Castle

What would holidays be without that beautiful tree? Well there’s a lot going on in the castle, including new holiday quests featuring great rewards, one of which is that very tree. But this is no ordinary Christmas tree. This magical fir creates two Prime crystals every 8 hours, which doubles if the castle is currently in a Golden Age.

Winter has descended upon Praia. The roads and  castles are covered with snow – just take a look at the beautiful wintery clan castles.

To ring in the holidays, two new flags were added: "New Year 2015" and "M-m-m-madness and Daring", each of which can be obtained by completing a special task.

One of the most favorite and beloved winter games is the classic snowball fight, and this is just as true in the magical world of Praia. Take a look in the shops and you’ll find a special new item: the Snowball.

Details on the Snowball:

  • It costs 50 Prime.
  • It strikes the first hero that gets in its way.
  • This blinds the enemy for three seconds, and if he was already under this effect, the enemy will be stunned for one second.
  • If the Snowball strikes an ally, it restores 50 health and removes a negative effect.
  • Recovery time: 30 seconds.
  • This is not a single-use item. Buy it once, and snowballs can be used throughout the battle.
  • New Year brings many changes, and miracles happen everywhere you turn. That caves of the Kitton and the Fire Drake are no exceptions in this time of wonders. Ice and frost have transformed them beyond recognition. In addition, the trees of the forest are covered with frost.

Other Talents

  • In connection with the introduction of the new Exclusive (orange) talents, the "Dark Heritage" set is no longer being offered as a battle reward. Now these talents can only be crafted in the castle in the Talent Forge or Garden.
  • The recovery time of the talent "The Undying Spark" has been raised from 0 to 1 second.
  • Minor bugs were fixed, and the descriptions of some common and class talents were refined.

Fay / Faerie Queen

Previously, this hero was too powerful when used on the line, so a number of changes have been made.

"Winged"

    • Now, when the hero is damaged, her speed increases for 2 seconds instead of 5.

"Fairy Warriors"

    • The time during which enemy receive damage from this talent was lowered from 6 to 5 seconds. Damage is also reduced because the Fay and Faerie Queen will be accelerated by the "Winged" talent for a shorter period of time.
    • When this talent is used on native terrain, the effect lasts longer. This bonus duration has been reduced from 3 to 2 seconds.
    • Increased the energy required to use the talent from 120 to 140.
    • The current value of the hero’s Intellect was previously used to calculate the effect of Agility and Cunning on the hero’s Fairy Warriors. Thus, temporary bonuses greatly increased this talent’s effectiveness. This effect is now based instead on the hero’s baseline attributes, just like with similar talents of other heroes, such as the Hunter talent "Call of the Wild" for example.
    • Reduced the range of this talent by 13%.

"Fairy Guardians"

    • As with "Fairy Warriors", the hero’s baseline attributes are now considered instead.
    • Reduced the range of this talent by 13%.

"Fusion"

    • Reduced the talent’s duration from 9 to 7 seconds.
    • The use of Fairy Warriors and Fairy Guardians, when Fused with an invisible ally makes that ally visible. If the ally is Shadow or Wisp, the ally will not be able to turn invisible until three seconds after the Fairy Warriors or Fairy Guardians take effect. This ensures that the ally cannot deal damage while remaining invisible.
    • Previously, talents requiring a target could be activated by clicking on the Fay’s or Fairy Queen’s portrait, while a hero was Fused with the Fay or Fairy Queen. This bug is now fixed.
    • Now heroes cannot die as a result of negative Health regeneration. This could happen while using Fairy Guardians while Fused. Now, Health cannot fall below 1.

Doctrine

"Alchemical Circle"

    • Now when "Side Effect" has been studied, and Doctrine can move instantly, the runes inside the circle and its perimeter glow more brightly.

"Power of Alchemy"

    • Creating a clone using this talent no longer strips the hero of invisibility.
    • A bug caused this talent to recover immediately when used on a clone as it was disappearing. This bug has been fixed.
    • Fixed a bug which enabled this talent to lengthen the lifespan of a clone.

"Noxious Substance"

    • Previously, the "Special Enzymes" effect, when learned, applied retroactively to anyone already effected by "Noxious Substance". This bug has been fixed.

"Portion of Glue"

    • Previously, for a short time after this talent was used, the effected hero enjoyed a reduction of damage received. This bug has been fixed.

Demonologist

  • Previously, if the hero died while "Strike of the Archons" was in effect, his return cancelled the effect. This bug has been fixed.

Vampire / Dahaka

  • Previously, the "Blood Ritual" talent could be accidentally cancelled if the hero moved immediately after its activation. Now cancellation of this talent cannot occur until 0.3 seconds after its activation.

Soul Catcher

  • Fixed a bug which enabled the ghost of Nox or Vryl to use the "Explosive Mutagen" talent to destroy an enemy.

Night Queen/Black Panther

  • Fixed a bug which prevented Towers from focusing on the hero when the hero attacked in Beast form.

  • It is now possible to purchase the skins of heroes from the opposite faction.

Quick Messages during battle.

  • Now you can quickly send messages composed in advance, so players can quickly report to the team about the combat situation. This also simplifies communication between people who speak different languages.
  • To use this feature, press "V" on the keyboard. A list of categories is displayed in the left corner of the screen, each of which is a message that can be selected with the specified hotkeys. With the right key combination you can instantly send messages to your team. For example, to send the message that "the enemy left the top lane," just type "V", "E", "1"; to send the more general message "the enemy left a lane" you can use "V", "E", "E" .
  • Now in the chat window, hero icons are displayed beside each player's name.

Invisibility

  • The effect of invisibility is now displayed differently. It is now represented by a slight distortion in the air when the hero moves around. Thus, attentive players will be able to detect approaching danger. The only exception is the Vampire’s and Dahaka’s talent "Concealing Darkness." It should be noted that this effect is noticeable only when the character moves. You cannot betray your presence if you’re standing still.

Portals and movement scrolls

  • A statistical study of gameplay led to the decision that the activation time for portals and movement scrolls should be reduced from 7 to 6 seconds.
  • The recharge time of a Portal that has been cancelled is now lowered from 70 to 20 seconds.

Prime

  • To make gameplay more even and smooth, the effect of hero killing after several deaths now causes less of a gap between the teams. The amount of Prime received when defeating an enemy has been reduced, and this Prime is shared amongst your teammates. This change is particularly noticeable in the late stages of the game. Now it is rare for a hero to collect a lot of Prime unless he or she has defeated many heroes.
  • When defeating an enemy hero who has collected more Prime than your hero, you receive a Prime bonus. Previously, you received the maximum bonus if your target had collected 3000 more Prime than you. This maximum has been raised to 4000.

Other

  • Previously, in rare cases when a player who died while playing the mini-game, he or she could continue to create scrolls despite their death. This bug has been fixed.
  • Sometimes talent creation could continue even while the hero was stunned. This bug has been fixed.
  • Previously, stunned heroes could raise glyphs or hide in the mini-game. This bug has been fixed.
  • Fixed a bug which caused certain summoned creatures, such as turrets and Vita-generators, to sometimes increased their damage when they touched their targets as they appeared.
  • Other minor fixes.

Clan join requests

In the new version, finding players for your clan will be even easier. Now those who do not already have a clan can ask to join one. On the clan interface there’s a special new tab labeled 'Applications.' There it is possible to select the admissible minimum rank, and set your preferred language of communication. Here also are displayed any requests for entry into your clan.

Players unaffiliated with a clan will see a special window in their castle. Just click on the "Global Map" and you will find a special window which displays a list of clans to which you can apply. This displays only those clans in which space is available, and for which you meet the minimum requirements.

Siege

  • Now when a siege begins, the defending clan is allotted a set number of strategy points. The number of points depends on the clan’s rating. This ensures that an established clan can only be captured if their attacker has a clear advantage.
  • Fixed a bug which caused a siege to begin after a clan’s suzerain received a join request from an unaffiliated vassal. Now when this happens, the petitioning clan immediately becomes a vassal and a siege does not commence.

"Clan Search" box

  • Previously, a bug caused the search interface to display the siege status of other clans until they were viewed on the map. This bug has been fixed.
  • Another bug was causing the siege of all clans involved in that seige to be displayed. Now only the besieged clan is displayed, as intended.

Other

  • When you move the cursor to any clan castle on the global map, a pop-up message appears, which displays detailed information about the clan. This includes a number of things:
  • The name and abbreviation of the clan
  • Its place relative to the other clans
  • Its store rank
  • Its level
  • The number of players in the clan.
  • The daily limit on certain goods in the store has been raised. In addition, some limits have been entirely lifted.
  • Fixed a bug which made it impossible to return to the global map from the castle, if a player left the clan while you were viewing the castle.
  • Fixed a bug which made it possible to attack a clan which was already in a battle.
  • Fixed a bug which hid the "Go to" button for an suzerain’s castle, if the player had earlier looked at the castle.

  • Prime Distillers and Pearl Farms reduce the cost of speeding production, and now produce the same amount of crystals in the last cycle as they did in the first. Their price has been lowered from 30 to 12 gold.
  • One’s faction no longer influences the position of one’s friends on the panel.
  • Previously the pre-match window was only visible to colonels and above. Now anyone whose hero rating exceeds 1900 can view it, regardless of their rank.
  • Fixed a bug which sometimes failed to display all clan members on the member list.
  • Now he hero’s characteristics display that hero’s Speed correctly, as calculated from his or her talent set.

Training

  • You can now interrupt a training battle and return to the castle. To do this, open the main menu by pressing Esc, and select "Skip training." If you do this, a special assignment will be added to the castle through which you can continue the mission.

  • Fixed a place next to the button in the upper right line, which could get stuck after teleporting hero.
