"The Highlander's Tale
." That's how we were first introduced to Crazed's brilliance. From this first post, Crazed went on to do great things in our community: creating pixel fan art
, becoming a forum moderator, helping new players in the Imperium world chat. We're incredibly glad to have Crazed in our community.
Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?
My name is Wulfe, and I'm a casual player that dabbles a lot into writing as his main hobby. I can be seen lurking the chat and helping others when needed. I've got a low self-esteem and sometimes am haunted by self-doubt depressions, so helping others makes me feel useful. Although being quite outgoing online, I am a shy and introverted person in real life, not to mention that I'm actually a black wolf and not a human.
What’s the story behind your name?
Crazed, or other variants of it, served as my nickname for quite a while, reaching up to five or six years in longevity. I remember someone used the word 'crazed' in an insult directed towards me one day and I thought to myself that it would sound great as my new nickname.
You’ve been our most active Prime World fan fiction writer. What inspired you to create stories for the PW universe?
The lore is what brought me to the game, a tasty literature to back up the game I was about to jack myself into and enjoy it. I sometimes narrate to myself as I play, identifying with the characters there and placing myself in their shoes, so any game with a lovely lore is always a perfect target for me. I started writing fan fiction because I saw that there was none, as well as the fact that I wanted to show my respect for the game somehow.
Although I did not have a lot of entries in the contest, I was extremely pleased to notice the involvement of those that have participated. All of them showed dedication and created lovely pieces of art, earning my respect. Once again, I congratulate them, and hope that on a later date I'll have the chance to host another contest, hopefully attracting more players.
You’re also one of our forum moderators. What’s it like to oversee our forums?
Keeping an eye over the forums is an enjoyable occupation. Keeping the community clean and standing forth as a model for others? It's a dream come true. At first I thought it may prove a bit too much for me, but I am pleased with how I am evolving.
Have you been this active in a gaming community before?
No. I am usually just a casual player, not even bothering to head over to the forums or socialize with others. Something about Prime World made me smile, something I loved. I wish to see it grow, for it deserves that.
How long have you played Prime World?
I started playing Prime World since the Open Beta began, brought to this lovely game and community by a friend.
My favorite hero is Faceless, his story as sharp and interesting as his blade. Although he holds the highest spot in my mind’s podium, the Vampire’s close by, mostly because I am obsessed with the symbolism behind a rose.
Least favorite hero?
Jaeger/Wolf Dancer. He’s a ruthless ruler that uses my brethren for a cheap price and has the audacity to hide behind his wolves as I go and cry in the corner when I play the Inventor.
Challenge. It may have been hard before, but with the new update, I find it as a perfect mode to relax and enjoy. The idea of hacking and slashing at hordes of monsters, along with other players, sparking a thousand ideas inside my skull.
Least favorite mode?
Apocalypse. I do not enjoy this mode as much as others mostly because I am an avid Zuma player, something which is not as useful there in my eyes. I also have very bad memories concerning this mode.
How did you find out about the game?
I had a friend of mine come over and tell me about it, at first just seeing myself say “Seems generic,” only to be drawn in by the stories told on the website, the talent system and the castle building one.
What was your first impression of the game?
At first I was very skeptic about this game, seeing it only as another MOBA in which I would be belittled by other players for my lacking skills, only to realize this was much… much more. This is one of the few times that I am happy I was wrong.
What’s your favorite Prime World memory so far?
Closing my eyes, I can see every battle I ever took part in, from first person, hearing every arrow whistle as they pass by my ears. If I would have to pick, I would say the match that I fought against DarkPython with my Highlander, winning my lane and driving my fangs into the tasty fabric of victory as DarkPython’s voice uttered comical comments.
Do you have any other hobbies?
Besides reading and writing? I play quite a lot of table tennis with my friends on the weekends.
Do you have any advice for newer players?
Yes, keep your head up. The first few matches are the hardest steps on this journey that will unfold wonders in your eyes. Do not fear to ask others, explore, understand and learn. When I’m online, I’m free to help others, so give me a heads up if you need help.
Is there anything else you’d like to share?
I am currently working on a new piece of fan fiction. All I can say is that it contains blind men with flutes, a bard, a bloodied hero created by a broken relationship and maybe even a unicorn.
